Capacitor energized at 1.4 times rated voltage by applying test voltage between terminal for 1 h, then 1.6 times rated voltage for 1 h, then 1.8 times rated voltage for 1 h, then 2.0 times rated voltage for 1 h then switch off. Then 2.0 times the rated voltage for an 8 h period each in four cycles of 24h. After completion of the test, the capacito is consider to have passe destruction test if a) Current through it has not been interruped by the delayed action test circuit fuse or by any internal fuse. b) The currnt through it has been interrputed without any harmful effect occurring. c)Three delayed action test ciucuit fuse have cleared without any hamfu effect occurring.d) The endurance is entact at the end of test e) The test voltage between terminals and container is passed at the end of the test.) |
